The Joie Roomie Glide
The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while making sure they're safe. Its smooth gliding motion will help ease your baby's sleep and its ingenious features let you keep an eye on your baby without leaving the your bed.
The side panel that slides out of the cot can be lifted and lowered with just a press of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit on the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the right height.
In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and comes with mesh sides to provide more ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also wipeable so you can keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that is suitable for the cot.
In contrast to other cribs for bedside use like the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it is not connected to the bed. It has many amazing features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that even though this crib is perfect for infants, it will not last long once your little one turns six months old, and you will need to invest in an additional cot. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for an item. She also liked the way it looked in the bedroom, and believed that its grey colour is a good fit for modern homes. However, she pointed out that it isn't an ideal idea to rock a young baby as it could set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to provide an uninterrupted night's sleep. It comes with a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or forcing them out of the bed. This is perfect for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
We love the fact that it's made of soft fabrics with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and ease of use. It's available in charcoal and oak and comes with a variety of melange fabric options that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you encounter any issues.
The CoZee crib has all the features you would expect from a crib to your bed, including the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally, there is an incline feature that can be used to aid infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed by a machine - a must for all the spills and vomit that accompany a new baby!
The CoZee is a great option if you want to keep your child close during their first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. baby bedside co sleeper can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be transformed into an actual crib. While it won't be able to magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock them and send them off.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's most expensive options, however it has a wide array of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a new mechanism. It's also more flexible than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access provided by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and down with a single push of a button. This was particularly helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.
The side panel can be removed by itself, too however it isn't advised as it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place when it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature is great to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers, thanks to the telescopic legs. It also has an option to tilt to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking feature to help them sleep after feeding. It's also very spacious and provides great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, even with the lengthy instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers, but it's easily moved from one area to another. It's small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is an advantage when you have to transport it. The only negative our testers found is that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This made it a bit harder to observe your baby from the bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of a bedside crib that will develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed and transform into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's perfect for night-time feeds and for strengthening your bond with your newborn.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other models. The dual-view mesh side panels and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress maximize airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. A gentle incline helps to ease colic and reflux while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby during the night.
The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to get started. It took us an hour to construct and was fairly straightforward. The only issue was the absence of captions written on a few of the images which made it difficult to follow some of the steps. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of high quality.
The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It allows them to reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's great for parents who don't want to deal with the stress of putting their child in a traditional cot, or getting them out of it.
The gliding motion was discovered to be very helpful in lulling babies into sleep following feedings at midday or night. The drop-down side can also be easily accessed to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night and was a major selling point for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock or come with extra features such as a sound system the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functional features are a welcome addition our best bedside crib reviews.
