In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and has mesh sides for increased ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam for extra protection. It's also washable to keep it clean. It also comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.

It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to your bed, and it's packed with features that are specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is perfect for newborns, it won't last long after your child is six months old, and you will have to purchase larger cots. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a excellent purchase and she especially liked its elegant design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for such an item. She also liked the way it looked in the bedroom, and believed that the grey color is a good fit for modern homes. However, she pointed out that it isn't a great idea to rock a younger baby as it could set an unhealthy habit that can affect later sleep patterns.

It comes with an adjustable side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or causing them to get out of the bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.
We love that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It's available in oak and charcoal and has a variety of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured for baby-safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number available if you encounter any issues.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. However, it comes with a lot of amazing features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It's also more flexible than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.
Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel that can be moved up and down with a single push of a switch. This was particularly helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them.
The side panel can be lowered on its own however it isn't advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it will only remain in place when it is attached to the bed of the parent correctly. This feature can be very beneficial to have peace of mind when you breastfeed and require frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It also comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux and a rocking feature to help them sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does come with a long instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one room to another. It's also able to fold into a bag for travel which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This made it a little harder to observe your baby from the bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great choice for a crib that can grow with your child. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed and transform into a stylish cot when your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding your baby at night and fostering a bond with your baby.

The dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby comfortable and cool. A gentle incline option helps to ease reflux and colic while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby during the night.
The kit for conversion to cot is also well designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us an hour to put together and was fairly straightforward. The only issue with the instructions was that a few pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.
In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a c-section as it allows them to easily reach out to their baby for comfort and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's also great for parents who wish to avoid the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their child down to sleep.
In our tests we observed the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be extremely useful in getting babies to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a big selling point for our exhausted moms who took part in our tests. The Joie Roomie Glide is a modern and stylish crib that isn't rocking, or have extra features such as the sound machine.
